Explanatory Information:
For each passenger, the following information may be provided:

  • Surname
  • Given Names
  • Date - of arrival of the ship in Queensland
  • Age - usually in years
  • Notes - if any (may be in the original records or notes by the indexer)
  • Ship - name
  • Page - page number in the original records
  • Item ID - Item ID from the Queensland State Archives' catalogue
  • Digital Item ID - Digital Item ID in the Queensland State's catalogue with a link to the scanned image for viewing online
  • Microform 1, Microform2: Queensland State Archives' identifiers for the relevant microfilm for viewing the microfilm at the archives, if required (hopefully the online images will be sufficient)

Please note. As some ships made multiple journeys to Queensland, a specific voyage is identified by the combination of the Ship name and Date. Only arrivals in Queensland (and not other states) are held by the Queensland State Archives. For arrivals in other states, please consult their archives.

Before viewing the digital images, please note the Page number as you will have to scroll down through the PDF file until you reach the page marked with that Page number. It is not the page number of the PDF document itself.

Some minor editing of the Date field has been done to present the dates in a consistent format and to assist searching. Some missing dates were reconstructed as the 1st of July of the year in the year field. If the admission date is significant for your research, then you are advised to consult the original documents which can be viewed via the URL link.
