We currently offer our members two different Look-up Services: our One Source Look-up and our new Research Kiosk Look-up. Both services are provided exclusively for members and a member login is required to access the service.
Volunteer time available for responses to Look-Up requests is limited to 20 minutes.
A One Source Look-up asks us to look for someone in a single source. For example, a look-up request may be to find a specific person in one of the English censuses or to find a specific person in one of the Queensland Commonwealth Electoral Rolls.

A Research Kiosk Look-up is designed to find a particular person, location or event (or a combination of multiple search terms) across an extensive array of digital resources held by the Society in the Research Kiosk. Previously these resources were only available to members visiting the Research Centre and only discoverable as the result of multiple individual searches.

Our capable team of volunteer researchers is available to help members and non-members with extended research, for a fee.
Members who live further than 50 km from the Brisbane GPO can receive two hours free research each year. Brisbane members who cannot attend the QFHS Family History Research Centre for reasons of disability or similar should contact the Secretary to discuss their needs.
