We Remember Them: wartime stories in our family tree

 Cr175a

The We Remember Them project will gather stories from our members focusing on the wartime stories in their family trees.  A virtual Honour Board will be created on this website to display an image of the individual and a few vital statistics. Each image will be linked to the story of that person’s wartime experiences. Read More

QFHS constitution - members consultation

Second meeting 4 September 7:30-9:30pm

 Cr171

An excellent meeting of members provided valuable feedback, comments, and suggestions for improvement for the draft revised QFHS constitution at the consultation meeting on 28 August.

There was so much discussion we only made it to the end of section 5.

A second members consultation meeting has been called to discuss sections 6-13 of the proposed constitution.

The time for providing written feedback has been extended to 10 September.

All members are encouraged to feedback, comments, and suggestions for improvement by:

  • email to constitution.review@qfhs.org.au until 10 September
  • post to the constitution subcommittee at QFHS, PO Box 78 Geebung 4032
  • deliver to the Research Centre, until 10 September
  • attend the hybrid consultation meeting on 10 September at 7:30pm

If you are attending the hybrid consultation, please register and indicate whether you’re attending in person at the QFHS Research Centre, or online via Zoom.

The draft document was recently distributed to all members along with accompanying bylaws. Documents are available here

This is your chance to have your say about the proposed constitution for QFHS.

The proposed constitution will be offered to members for their acceptance or otherwise at a General Members’ Meeting later this year.
