Notes:This event will be held ONLINE.
Presenter: Patrice Connelly.
The Visitations Books were compiled in the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries and are a unique genealogical resource. Compiled by the official Heralds, they are a fascinating source of information on the upper classes in England before the parish registers were established.
Patrice Connelly will introduce you to the books, their geographical reach, how they were compiled, their contents and layouts, and the traps for the unwary as well as a few extra useful resources.
Note: Attend online and/or view on catchup for a month after the meeting (when speakers have given consent).
Limited places are available for each session, so bookings on Eventbrite are essential.
This event is held in QLD time, AEST: no daylight saving. (GMT+10)
