Family History Toolkit
This Family History Toolkit session will look at Negative Evidence.
You may be familiar with the Genealogical Proof Standard (GPS) and the Evidence Map. If so, you will know that there are three types of evidence in our genealogical research: Direct Evidence, Indirect Evidence, and Negative Evidence. Perhaps the concept of Negative Evidence is the more complex concept to grasp.
Join Sue Reid as we investigate some of the concepts relating to Evidence and see how you might use them in your research.
Don’t worry if you are not familiar with the GPS or types of evidence. You are probably using the concepts in your research anyway.
This is not a formal presentation; it is more an interactive workshop. You are welcome to contribute to the workshop or simply observe. There will be pre-work to do if you wish to take part.
