THIS EVENT WILL BE HELD ONLINE Presenter: Eric Kopitke Perhaps you have heard of famous Baptists like Dr Martin Luther King Jr or Billy Graham and wondered where they fit into the religious scene? Or perhaps you or your family went to a Baptist Sunday School or Girls' Brigade or Boy's Brigade? Or there is a wedding in your family that took place at a country Baptist church somewhere.
Would you like to come along for a chat to discuss this denomination and how you can research its records here in Brisbane? We welcome your questions about the church and its activities and documents, and would welcome any useful resources you may know about!
Eric Kopittke will be hosting this event in conjunction with Rev Dr David Parker. David is an ordained Baptist minister and has been involved in historical research for many years and is currently on a team of volunteers looking after the Baptist Church Archives, Qld, located at Gaythorne.
Please note. A ""Talking About"" session is a discussion group where everyone is given the opportunity to contribute by sharing their knowledge and experience, asking questions and/or giving opinions and answers. It is not a presentation. It is open to all levels of experience; no question is too silly to ask.
As these sessions have a limited number of tickets to ensure everyone gets their chance to participate in the discussion, if you are booked and realise you are now unable to attend, please advise us so we can reallocate your ticket to someone on the waitlist.
